The Obi Family & Franciscan School Project

We, the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Azubike Mathias Obi of Agidase, wish to honor our dear Sr. Josephine Obi on her Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years of dedicated service to God and humanity. In her honor, we would like to launch a fundraising campaign to support students from struggling families who are unable to pay their school fees at Franciscan Nursery and Primary School in Ogwashi-Uku. We humbly ask for your blessings and prayers that this endeavor will come to fruition in the name of Christ and God Almighty.
Through this initiative, we have been able to pay the school fees of five students who, according to Sr. Francisca Okorugbo, the Headmistress, were unable to begin the school year due to a lack of funds. It is a beautiful full-circle moment, as Sr. Josephine envisioned the school, and now the next generation of her family seeks to carry that vision forward, ensuring that future generations continue to benefit from the gift of education.
Funds will be collected annually on Sr. Josephine Obi’s birthday, April 21, to honor her legacy of faith, service, and commitment to education.
